The argument you will now hear from the pro-embryonic-stem-cell research side is that if only ESCR harvesting was government-funded in the US, they wouldn’t need to go rely on such sources. In other words, if only we would spend taxpayer dollars on the killing of unborn embryonic children in order to harvest their stem cells, there would not be a flourishing trade in killing post-natal children for their stem cells. Of course, that only substitutes one kind of innocent victim for another. The answer is to stop the barbarians who murder children in order to sell off their body parts.
